I made dinner tonight. I haven't done that in a long time. Woot! Do you do that? Do you go ages without actually preparing a meal for your family? Probably not. You're all Martha and Betty and whoever the perfect mother is rolled into one huh. I think so. Just admit it, you are. I'll try to be more like you.

P.S. I made sweet and sour chicken and it was SO good and SO worth it!

Oh my dear kelsey. You are are a wonderful wife and mother. I go through spurts of being motivated to cook. It hard when life is so exhausting. My life saver is my CROCKPOT. I love being able to throw something in and come home to a cooked meal and GET ALL THE CREDIT! AWESOME!

No, I am definitely NOT Betty and all that. I would love to be someday; it's my goal because I think it is fun and rewarding.

But tonight, like too many nights we had cereal, or heated up some burritos, or had pancakes, or chicken nuggets, or fish sticks, or mac and cheese. It happens, especially when you are a working mother (and one who goes to school too!), but your kids still know they are loved and that is all that truly matters.

I really don't know the last time I actually cooked a meal for my family besides ramen...and actually, Matt did that one last night!

i haven't cooked in forever either. in fact, i don't know what to cook for dinner tonight. but i'm going to make a meal calendar for the month of september so my indecisiveness doesn't get the best of me.
