Shattered Realities

I don't know how I've made it 2 years and 10 months without anything I truly love being ruined by my children, but it happened tonight. I didn't even know I loved this stupid bowl until it shattered on the floor. I wanted to yell, but that's not my style, so I just started crying. I no longer have an adorable, perfect for holding dip, red polka dot bowl. Oh well. Things are just things, right?

What beloved things have you lost to your children?

Nothing is safe with kids around. You just have to remember they are more valuable than any object, but that doesn't stop it from being frustrating.

geeez... I have nothing left! The last wedding gift I have left is hidden from view... I can't tell you what it is because I'm afraid that will jinx it!
So many precious great grandma's whatevers....
You are so right. You can't take it with you, and it will eventually end up in somebody's yard sale anyway, so enjoy it while you can! Just don't break your kids, right?

The sadest part, is I have lost more valuable treasures to my own clumsyness then my neices, or puppy combined! I don't know how I do it, but I somehow manage to yell at myself...

I'm with Spencer. We want you back. And I have to say, I just re-read this post, and the one thing I am TERRIFIED of my kids breaking is my moms lladro. You know the one. I just really don't think there will be any forgivness that comes with that one, so I just want to avoid it all together.
